Todd Garner
During May we are delighted to be exhibiting the work of Todd Garner. Originally from Pasadena, California, Todd very much considers Glasgow to be his home. He returned to his birthplace for a year in 2007 and it is the series of paintings he created whilst in the California sunshine which are on display in the Glasgow gallery. With quietly dramatic narratives, often manipulating the viewer into the role of voyeur, Todd's work cleverly unfolds to reveal a strong sense of unresolved tension and characters brimming with barely suppressed emotion. His paintings reflect a fascination with Art Deco design and architecture and give a delightful and respectful nod to his Hopper influences. Please join us for Todd’s “Homecoming”.

Kieran Crowder
The unique art of Kieran Crowder is on display at our Mayfair gallery this month. These striking paintings, when viewed from a distance, present an almost three dimensional pop-art theatricality giving way, as one approaches the work, to a peaceful sensuality, a dramatic exploration of emotion. Kieran's technique involves many layers of oil, resin and varnish, in an evolved and contemporary extension of pointalism, creating a mesmerisingly tactile, almost sculptural landscape, always deftly implying an inner beauty and tranquility in contrast to the bold voluptuousness of the external.
